Love to Rent Week begins with seven days of renters stories, practical advice and career insights

Love to Rent Week 2026 will help renters explore professionally managed homes, challenge outdated perceptions of renting and meet the people creating communities across the UK.

Running from 28 September to 4 October, the campaign will look beyond property listings to explore what renting actually feels like. As technology and AI begins to change how people search for homes, Love to Rent Week will focus on the information and experiences that can help renters understand their choices, from residents’ stories and local neighbourhoods to pet-friendly living, practical advice and the people supporting residents day to day.

Anne-Marie Brown, Founder and Managing Director of Love to Rent, said: “Renters deserve to understand the full experience a home can offer, not just the number of bedrooms or the monthly rent. Love to Rent Week brings together resident experiences, useful guidance and local information so people can compare their choices with greater confidence.”

Real homes and resident experiences

Residents will be at the heart of the week, with stories showing what life in professionally managed rental communities is like beyond the property itself.

Stories will include a Manchester couple who have lived at New Vic since it opened and are now preparing to welcome a baby; a Milton Keynes resident explaining how events and an approachable team helped them feel safe after moving from London; and London renters showing how pets, guitars, flowers, collections and skyline balconies have made their apartments unmistakably their own.

In Reading, Ebb and Flow will demonstrate how its network of more than 50 Neighbourhood Heroes helps residents discover local independent businesses. Other features will explore friendships, wellbeing activities, charitable projects and the everyday support that can help someone settle into a new town or city.

A closer look at places to rent

Regional Pride guides will take renters beyond the apartment and into the surrounding area.

Sheffield will be explored through its city-centre culture, transport connections and access to the Peak District, while Leicester will be considered as a connected Midlands city with history, universities, shopping and green space.

Further neighbourhood content will feature Gravesend, where The Charter is introducing the town’s first Build to Rent community, and Tottenham Hale, where transport, local culture, independent businesses and public-facing shared spaces are contributing to a changing London neighbourhood.

What professionally managed renting can offer

Operator stories from organisations including Moda Living and Touchstone will explain the resident journey in plain English, from enquiry and viewing to move-in, maintenance and ongoing support.

The campaign will also address common misconceptions about Build to Rent, including assumptions that it is only available in London, only suitable for young professionals or unlikely to welcome pets.

Practical guidance will help renters understand the stages between application and move-in, compare costs, consider deposit arrangements and make better use of a viewing. As AI and conversational search becomes part of how people discover homes, the campaign will also highlight the importance of having clear and reliable information behind the search. Questions about pets, amenities, maintenance, flexibility, community and resident support can be just as important to renters as price and location.

Opening the door to careers in Build to Rent

For the first time, Love to Rent Week will include a dedicated Careers in Build to Rent stream.

The content will introduce resident associates, community managers and senior operational leaders, showing how experience from retail, hospitality, customer service, student accommodation and other industries can transfer into the sector. It will also highlight the breadth of roles behind professionally managed rental communities, spanning resident experience, operations, facilities, maintenance, finance, marketing, events, technology and portfolio management.

Anne-Marie Brown added: “Changing perceptions of renting also means showing people what happens behind the scenes. These homes and communities depend on talented teams with a wide range of skills, and we want to show potential employees that there are opportunities in the sector they may not have considered.”

Love to Rent is the UK platform dedicated to professionally managed rental homes, covering Build to Rent, Single-Family Housing, Co-Living and Later Living. Throughout the week, consumers will be able to read the campaign stories and explore homes through one specialist destination.
