Something happening every week
Ebb & Flow hosts community events every week, including its regular Friday Social. The programme ranges from Sip & Paint sessions and Bring Your Culture evenings to rooftop parties, seasonal celebrations, cooking classes and games nights.
There is also a packed wellness schedule, including Pilates, yoga, HIIT fitness classes and running clubs. These sessions give residents convenient ways to stay active while creating relaxed opportunities to get to know other people in the building.
The programme is designed to include different ages and lifestyles. Arts and crafts sessions have been held for children, while five-a-side football matches during the summer holidays give younger residents their own space to have fun and stay active.

Some of the most personal activities are led by residents themselves, giving people an opportunity to share their skills and interests with the wider community. These have included Latin dance with Camilla, cooking classes with Loredana, meditation with Lily and Pilates with Priya.
Working residents are also brought together in simple, informal ways. Breakfast clubs provide a chance to catch up before the working day, while drinks, snacks and sweet treats around the postbox area help people working from home step away from their desks and meet their neighbours.

The community also extends beyond Ebb & Flow itself. More than 50 local businesses in and around Reading form its Neighbourhood Heroes network. Through these partnerships, residents can discover local products, services and exclusive discounts, while independent businesses gain opportunities to connect with new customers.
Giving back is another important part of community life. A resident thrift shop allowed people to donate and purchase clothes, with the proceeds supporting Macmillan Cancer Support. Residents and the team have also supported Red Nose Day, Children in Need and JogOn donations.
